Even outside the gaming industry, the acquisition of Activision by Microsoft has caused a stir, which now reflected in a humorous Twitter conversation between Xbox and McDonald’s. On a tweet of the fast food chain with a picture of a magic box as well as the request to post a grasping emote to claw a fry, the Xbox account just did. Then the McDonald’s account replied with the image of an Xbox controller in the McDonald’s design, whose A, B, X and Y key replaced by the grasping emotion. In turn, Xbox posted a picture of the same controller in red as well as a red Xbox Series X as a magnificent box. In allusion to Microsoft’s recently completed acquisition of Activision, McDonald’s replied with whether it is a takeover attempt.
